The IBIS E-commerce website allows you to sell admission items and packages online. This article explains how to set up.

Set up admission items to sell online

To sell admission and admission packages online you will need to configure the items as described below:

  1. Open the Admission items screen and find the item you would like to sell online.
  2. Click the Online properties tab
  3. Enable the Sell online property (tick).
  4. Add an Online name (if you don't want the Item description to display on your website).
  5. Add an Online description to explain more about the item.
  6. If your item is an Admission pacakge, you need to specify Ticket in the Extra info property of the item (on the Grid view tab).
  7. Save your changes.


Admission item groups

Item groups improve the navigation of your website for your customers. The E-commerce website will automatically group items into the Admission category, however, you may need to streamline these further if you have alot of items.


To create an Item group, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Retail groups screen under Online Groups in the System menu.
  2. Click Add, then fill in the details as prompted.
  3. Enter a group code - this must not contain any spaces and must not be more than 10 characters long. It can be included in a URL to link through from your main web page. An example might be ‘BodyBath’
  4. Enter a group name. This is the name your customers see and can be up to 50 characters long and can be changed after you have set it up. E.g. Body and bath.
  5. The Description explains what is in the group to your customers. It can be up to 2000 characters, but we recommend keeping it brief and to the point. This can be edited later under the Details tab.
  6. Click Save – the group will appear in the grid.
  7. To associate items with the online group, highlight your group and tick the Selection box for each item. Items are organised by their group in the Retail items screen.  

  8. Save your changes.

  9. If this online item group will be used on your E-Commerce website, upload an image to display on the group tile.

Scannable admission tickets

Scannable admission tickets will be attached as a PDF to the receipt email sent to customers after they complete their online purchase. The tickets can be scanned upon arrival to record entry & redeem the ticket.
