Vouchers
We recommend Epson TM-T88V thermal printers with a USB port. It is possible to share a printer between two or more computers. A splitter cable can be used to ping cash drawers between 2 PC's sharing one thermal printer.
- Epson TM-T81 Thermal printer - cheaper than the Epson TM-T88V - printing is slightly slower.
- Some voucher styles can also be printed on a standard laser printer
Admission tickets & boarding pass printing
For fast, volume ticket printing on pre-printed colour tickets, IBIS recommends the Datamax-O'Neil M Class Mark II industrial printer. IBIS will work with you to customise ticket designs to suit your requirements. Allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery of all customised ticket stock once media requirements have been signed off.
Receipt printing
A thermal printer is required for Integrated EFTPOS receipts and recommended for receipt printing for the Point of sale module. If a thermal receipt printer is unavailable, an A4 laser printer can be used to print receipts.

Cash Drawers
IBIS works with cash drawers via a thermal printer. To ensure the security of cash, we recommend the use of one cash drawer per computer. There is a limit of two cash drawers per thermal printer if IBIS is required to pop open the cash drawer automatically. We recommend:
- EC460 5 note, 10 coin version (460mm W x 450mm D x 112mm H)
- EC410 4 note, 8 coin version (405mm W x 420mm D x 112m H)
- A splitter cable is required if 2 cash drawers are sharing 1 thermal printer.
Scanners
For retail sales accuracy, IBIS supports barcode scanners. You will need one scanner for each PC selling retail items. If you would like to scan QR codes, you will require a 2D scanner. 1D scanners will scan barcodes only.
Thermal barcode label printers
Thermal label printing is the most cost-effective way of printing labels and minimising wastage (as few as 2 labels at a time can be printed). Please check out the article Print Labels for Retail Items before going ahead and purchasing your new label printer as there are some considerations to make for setting it up.
IBIS can also print labels onto A4 label sheets however these can usually only be fed through the printer once so can result in wastage if only a few labels are required. Our st
We do have IBIS customers that print labels using older model Zebra LP2844 & LP/TLP2824 Plus label printers (now no longer sold or supported), and Dymo Thermal Lable printers are also popular.
Touch screens
IBIS supports touch screens for your point of sale system. A touch screen is a special monitor that plugs into your computer to allow you to touch buttons on the screen and do away with your keyboard. Suited to café or retail areas.
For cafes or retail-focused areas of your business, an integrated touchscreen and computer unit can save space and provide a hardy unit unlikely to be affected by the odd coffee spill. The computer is built into the base unit. We don't have any recommended models, please consult your local supplier for advice.
