What types of vouchers are available?
IBIS can offer thermal vouchers (the most popular and cost-effective), preset A4/A5 or DLE formats or we can help you customise your voucher style (user-defined ticket/voucher).
Set the default voucher style for tickets printed at your business
You can specify which type of voucher you would like to print by default when a payment is completed for a ticket.
- Open the System settings screen under the System menu.
- In the Reservation section, select the Default ticket name setting.
- Select the default voucher style you wish to use from the droplist - our recommended format is thermal.
- Save your changes.
Override the default voucher style for a specific computer
If some computers in your organisation will print a different style of voucher than your default System setting, you can override the default in the Machine setting screen.
- Open the Machine settings screen under the System menu.
- Select the Ticket name setting under the Reservation grouping, then select a different voucher type.
- Save your changes.
Set the default voucher printer for non-thermal tickets
By default, IBIS will print all thermal vouchers to the receipt printer. If you have a non-thermal voucher that you would like to print automatically after a sale is complete, here is how you can set the default printer:
- Open the Machine settings screen under the System menu.
- Under the Printing section, select the Non-thermal voucher printer setting.
- Set the printer you wish to use from the menu (this will only display printers available to your computer).
- Save your changes.
Amend contact details on your vouchers
You can change contact details such as email address, postal address and phone and fax numbers on your tickets.
- Find out which contact is displayed on your tickets by going to the Locations screen under the System menu
- Click the Contact field for the selected location.
- Make a note of the code in the Contact code which displays on the right side of the droplist.
- Go to the Contacts screen and find the contact with this code in the Code field
- Edit the contact details as required and save your changes. The contact details will be updated on any new vouchers you create.
Set up default text to print on the bottom of your thermal voucher
You can specify the default text to print on the bottom of your vouchers. You might use this to display your default cancellation policy for example. Here is how to set it up:
- Open the System settings screen under the System menu.
- Under the Ticketing grouping, select the setting Ticket footer text.
- Click the arrow to open the text input box and enter your details.
- Save your changes.
Turn off thermal voucher printing for specific products
If there are situations where you book products and print tickets directly from an operator's online booking portal (e.g. Intercity Coachlines), you may not require IBIS to automatically print a thermal voucher after a sale is completed. To disable the thermal voucher printing, follow these steps:
- Open the Ticketing products screen under Product setup in the Reservations tab.
- Select the Operator you wish to disable thermal ticket printing for.
- In the Attributes tab, change the voucher printing rule to "No Print", then click Save.
Hide pricing information on printed tickets
You can omit printing any pricing and/ or discount details on your thermal vouchers or tickets if you do not want this to show for customers to see. These settings only work in conjunction with the sale type Agent All.
- Open the System Settings screen under the System menu, and scroll down to the Ticket section.
- Change the setting Print monetary values on a ticket to false.
- If the above setting is false, you can also choose whether or not to Print discount lines on the ticket. Set this to false to hide any discount option lines you have applied. Note this setting is entirely dependent on the print the monetary value setting being set to false or the discount lines will always show.
Here is a further explanation of the expected system behaviour for these settings:
- Print monetary values on ticket = true, Print discount lines on ticket = true: Both the amounts and the discount lines will display on the ticket when printed
- Print monetary values on ticket = true, Print discount lines on ticket = false: Both the amounts and the discount lines will display on the ticket when printed
- Print monetary values on ticket = false, Print discount lines on ticket = true: No amounts will show on the ticket, but it will print both the price option lines and the discount line
- Print monetary values on ticket = false, Print discount lines on ticket = false: No amounts or discount lines will show on the ticket, just the price option lines
Set a graphic to print on a voucher
If you are using a thermal printer, follow the instructions for setting up a graphic on a thermal printer. If your printer is not on the list, please contact the manufacturer for instructions.
For custom user-defined voucher/ticket, please contact IBIS for assistance setting up graphics.
For preset A4/A5/DLE vouchers, your logo appears in different positions depending on the ticket option selected. Your logo must be in.jpg file format.
If you are running version 22.0.0 or higher, please contact IBIS for assistance. We have retired the Global Setting screen and will need to help you configure these logos.
- Open the Global setting screen under the System menu, then browse to the Ticketing tab.
- There are two fields for adding voucher graphics; Voucher graphic - top and Voucher graphic - right
- The table below shows where the graphics appear on each ticket style.
- Browse to the file location to upload the graphics using the...button. A network file location should be selected if multiple computers will be using this logo.
