Integrates with IBIS POSYes. This allows your call centre to process card-not-present transactions without an EFTPOS machine. No
Other notesWindcave also offers integrated EFTPOS for frontline use.
Example monthly fees:

100 bookings @ $150 = $15,000

20 bookings @ $99 = $1,980

20 bookings @ $50 = $1,000

10 bookings @ $50 = $500

($15,000 * 2.8%) + (100 x 30c) = $450

($1,980 * 2.8%) + (20 x 30c) = $61.44

($1,000 * 2.8%) + (20 x 30c) = $34

($500 * 2.8%) + (10 x 30c) = $17, bumped up to $30 minimum monthly fee

($15,000 * 2.9%) + (100 x 30c) = $465

($1,980 * 2.9%) + (100 x 30c) = $87.42

($1,000 * 2.9%) + (20 x 30c) = $35

($500 * 2.9%) + (10 x 30c) = $17.50

Set up Windcave PxPay 2.0

You will need to contact Windcave to set up a PxPay 2.0 account. Your Windcave account manager will provide you with your connection details, such as your username and payment key, which you will need to provide to IBIS so we can enable the payment gateway on your IBIS system.

The following settings should be enabled on your Windcave PxPay account for successful integration with your IBIS E-Commerce website:

PxPay settings
Setting
Description
Fail Proof Result Notification
True
This should be enabled by default for all new accounts, but please confirm with Windcave. This ensures the payment result is always sent to IBIS even if the browser is closed.
Disable Result Page (SkipPage2)True
This ensures customers do not need to click Next after payment is completed. You can enable this feature in your Windcave account - contact [email protected] to activate the changes.

Important information if you wish to use the stored Credit Card feature
If you wish to secure a booking with a credit card to charge at a later time, or if your agents will be processing payments via your PxPay account in your call centre, you will require "MOTO" to be enabled as a ClientType access feature on your Windcave PxPay account. Please review the following set up article for Integrating Windcave PxPay in the IBIS Application.

Customise your Windcave-hosted payment page

Your Windcave page can be customised allowing you to maintain consistent branding between your IBIS E-Commerce website and the Windcave Hosted Payment Page when your customers are using your website.

IBIS recommends the following minimum configuration to ensure your customers' payment process is as simple as possible.

To configure the settings as shown above:

  1. Log in to your Windcave Custom Hosted Payment Account with the login details provided to you by Windcave.

  2. Click on HPP Customisation from the main menu to access the customisation settings.

  3. In the Payment Details tab, ensure you hide the TxnData1 - 3 and Merchant Reference fields.

  4. On the Payment tab, you can tick the boxes to show the different credit card logos you accept if you want larger credit card icons to show at the bottom of the page. Some banks will require you to show the "Verified by Visa" logo - please check with Windcave before adding or removing this logo.

  5. On the Result tab, tick the box Disable Result Page (SkipPage2) as this will remove an additional step in the payment process for your customers. Leave the 'Hide Txd Datetime' setting enabled (will be by default).

  6. On the Images tab, select the card brands you accept from the Credit Card Logo droplist.

  7. On the Page Style tab, we recommend selecting STYLE8 in the Primary CSS. You can then adjust the colours of the fonts, background, links, borders, buttons, and headers to match your E-Commerce branding.

Please note colours are entered as Hex codes. If you do not know your brand's HEX OR RGB colour codes, please contact your web designer. You can convert your RGB colour codes into HEX codes using an online conversion tool such as https://www.rgbtohex.net/.
  8. Under the Preview Page tab, click Apply then click Preview to view your changes. Click the back button on your browser to return from Preview mode.
  9. To activate the changes you have made to your custom-hosted payments page you MUST email [email protected] quoting your PXPay ID in the email.

For more information on customising your Windcave Hosted Payment Page, check HPP Customisation section of the Windave PxPay 2.0 Integration Guide.

Protect yourself from fraudulent transactions

You can take several steps to minimize the risk of fraudulent card use on your site.

Step 1: Contact Windcave or Stripe Support

You can start by contacting Windcave or Stripe support to help you secure your credit card account (your online payment gateway). Options may include enabling CAPTCHA or 3D Secure (3DS). You can also reduce the number of attempts a customer has to enter an incorrect credit card number before being locked out. The card processor may have additional recommendations.

Step 2: Monitor Transactions for Declined Payments

Implement a process to monitor transactions for multiple declined payments. If a transaction has three or more declines, flag it for in-person credit card verification. Ensure your staff reviews Windcave transactions nightly to identify any unusual activity, such as consecutive declined payments. Add operator notes to bookings requiring credit card verification so your team knows to ask for the card upon arrival. Be aware that some last-minute bookings are made by intermediaries (overseas 'travel agents' from China) using stolen cards, with the actual customers unaware of the scam.

Step 3: Verify Suspected Fraudulent Transactions

If you suspect a transaction was made with a stolen card, request to see the credit card used for online payment when the customer arrives. Both the Booking history and the POS screen reveal part of the credit card number for online payments, allowing you to verify the card and name. Consider including a note in your email confirmations to inform customers of your card verification policy so they are aware they must bring their card with them.
