X-off report

An X-off report displays all transactions processed since the last time the till was Z'd off. Typically, the X-off report is run before the Z-off report to ensure the till balances and no corrections are required before the Z-off report is completed. The X-off report was designed to be used on a thermal printer.  You can open the X-off report from the Point of sale screen.

Z-off report

Cashing up your sales (i.e. Z-off) can be done at any time and as often as required, but is usually a function reserved for the end of the day's trading when you are ready to match your cash takings with the sales made in IBIS. The purpose of the Z-off is to give you a start or endpoint to balance your float. The Z-off function will close all transactions made between the time the last Z-off was run.

The Z-Off report will display a summary of all sales and payments and lists the totals by the payment type groups you have configured in the Payment type setup screen. To print the Z-off report, we recommend you have IBIS connected to a thermal printer.

A Z-off report cannot be completed if a till has held, current, in progress, or incomplete sales. You must find the held/incomplete sale in POS and void or complete them. Once a Z-off has been run, you cannot redo it

To generate a Z-off report:

  1. From the Point of sale screen system menu, select Z-off (the location of this will depend on your menu layout)
  2. Click Yes to confirm you want to continue
  3. Once complete, the transactions made on that till are assigned a Z-Off batch number.

Reprint a Z-off

If you need to reprint the Z-off, you can use the Reprint receipt function in the Find sale screen for your Z-off transaction.
