A template tour does not have a fixed date & can be copied to or inserted into another tour. For example, if you have a walking or tramping trip that always takes the same track transport service, water taxi, same accommodation along the route with a standard set of travel notes, you could simply insert it as a template into a new tour and then fine-tune the details.
