IBIS Online can be launched by selecting IBIS Online under the blue IBIS icon in the top left corner of the IBIS application.
You can also log onto IBIS Online as shown below:
- Open your browser and navigate to https://online.ibisres.com.
- Enter your IBIS server code (i.e. the same one you use to access your IBIS application).
- Enter the User name and Password that has been supplied to you by IBIS.
- If you have requested 2-Step authentication to be enabled, enter the Google authentication code.
- Click Log in.
2-Step Verification
IBIS Online can be protected by 2-factor authentication meaning you will enter an IBIS user name and password, plus a secure Google Authentication code on each device you log in from (Google Authenticator is available for free in App stores).
IBIS will give your management team a scannable QR code to use in conjunction with the Google Authentication app when you get started.
To ensure devices you use every day have easy access to Online Check-in, the Google Authentication code is only required to be entered once the first time you log in. Ticking 'Remember me' after your first login will save the Google Authentication code on that device (to remove, delete the cookies on that device). We recommend you do not use the 'Remember me' setting from a public computer.
Why do I need two-factor Authentication?
Two-factor authentication provides increased security where users can access IBIS data online. Two-factor authentication would prevent staff members from logging into IBIS online from their personal devices unless they have been authorised to do so by management.
Can I use google Authentication if I am logging in from a desktop?
There are extensions available on Google Chrome (such as GAuth Authenticator) which we recommend using for this purpose.
Please contact IBIS if you wish to implement this authentication as you will require your code to enable Google authentication.
