You can easily transfer details from a non-IBIS booking website into IBIS. This is designed for suppliers such as Interislander, Bluebridge, Intercity and Tranz Scenic. Historically, you would have made a booking on their website and then entered the details into the IBIS ticket, meaning constant switching between screens.
Setting it up in the following way will mean that the linked website will pop up from an IBIS screen making it easier to copy the booking information into IBIS saving you time!

How to link a booking website to a ticketing product
- Go to the information tree in the Ticketing screen under the Reservations menu.
- Right-mouse-click on the product you want to link with the website and select Edit product.
- Under the Product tab, click on the Details tab and at the Online Code field enter the full URL of the website (e.g. http://www.bookings.co.nz).
- Click Save then Close.
- Back in the Ticketing screen, the product now shows a red tick.
If you have a login and password for the website, you may be able to configure the URL so it automatically logs on to the website when it opens. The online code needs to also contain the logon and password separated by commas. E.g. http://www.bookings.co.nz,Susan,Queenstown (no spaces).
How to make a booking using a linked website
- Start the ticket as usual.
- Instead of browsing their website, click the online box (...) to the right of the Time caption (highlighted below).
- This opens the website in your browser. You can make your booking here as usual.
- Once you have completed the booking, go back into IBIS and enter these details in the window shown below:
- Name - The customer's name.
- Reference - The booking reference number.
- Amount - The booking amount.
- Click the Update button to close the browser window and automatically add a line to the ticket options containing the booking reference number and the booking amount. The customer name is also populated, as is the Book ID field with the reference number.
- Complete any other steps that you take for that operator e.g. print out a booking confirmation.
You may wish to save paper by not printing a voucher from IBIS when a product is booked online using the above method. Learn how to disable voucher printing for products.
