Changing the commission on a single ticket

  1. Go to the Reservations - Ticketing screen
  2. Find and select the product you want to change in your ticketing tree
  3. Tick the box in the ticket above the price options at the top left corner
  4. Enter your user code in the popup if requested and then the commission details will show 
  5. Change the commission either as a percentage in the Comm % cell or as a dollar value in the Comm cell. When you move off the cell, the other commission cell will recalculate
  6. Depending on your Global Settings*, if you changed the value in the Comm % cell you may get a popup asking if you want to change the commission on that price option permanently:
    • Click Yes to save the new commission rate for future tickets
    • Click No to save the new commission for that ticket only
  7. *See System - Global Settings - Ticketing tab - setting 'Options saved from ticketing can not be saved permanently'
  8. Complete the ticket as normal.

Changing the commission against a price option

If your Global Settings Options saved from ticketing can not be saved permanently is not enabled, then changes made to the commission rate for a price option when selling a ticket will not be saved for next time (explained above in section Changing the Commission on a Single Ticket). You will need to follow these steps to permanently change the commission for a specific price option for future tickets:

  1. Go to the Reservations > Ticketing screen
  2. Right click on the product in the ticketing tree and select Edit product
  3. Change the commission for the required price options either as a percentage in the Comm % column or as a dollar value in the Comm column. When you move off the cell, the other commission cell will recalculate.
  4. Click Save
  5. If you want to change the commission on other products for the same operator, select the required products from the product grid at the top of the Manage products screen and repeat the above steps.
  6. Close the screen then back in the ticket you can see the updated commission:
    • Click +New to refresh the ticket 
    • Tick the box on the top left corner of the ticket to show the commission details
  7. Any ticket made after these changes will assume the new commission rate. You can also update the commission on tickets created before you changed the commission (as long as the ticket status has not been change to Settled)either by:
    • Editing and resaving individual tickets in the Ticketing screen (tick the checkbox above the price options to view and edit the commission)
    • In bulk using the Recalculate from Product function in the Find Ticket screen.

Change commission for price options


Changing the commission against the operator's account

Follow the steps below to update the commission rate for the operator's account (this will be the default rate for new price options), with the option to update the commission set against the existing price options (you can either do this manually for selected products or in bulk using the Update commission from account function). 

  1. Right click on the operator in the ticketing tree and select Edit product
  2. With any of the operators products highlighted, click on the Account tab
  3. Change the percentage in the Commission field, then click Save. The new commission rate is saved against the operator's account and will be the default commission for new price options.
  4. To update the commission rate against all existing price options, click the Pricing tab
  5. Ensure the correct product and price season are highlighted, then select Manage pricing
  6. Select option Update commission from account and select Yes to update commission for that season. Repeat for each product. This will change the commission against all price options for the product. If you say no, you will need to manually change the commission rate for each price option.
  7. To see the new commission you need to completely close down the ticketing screen and then reopen it 
  8. Any ticket made afterthese changes will assume the new commission rate unless you do one of the following:
    • Editing and resaving individual tickets in the Ticketing screen (tick the checkbox above the price options to view and edit the commission)
    • In bulk using the Recalculate from Product function in the Find Ticket screen (explained below in section Recalculate Tickets Historically)

Change the account associated with historic tickets

Ensure you have changed the account associated with the products before you start this process:

  1. Open the Find Ticket screen from the Reservations menu.
  2. Adjust the filters to find all the tickets you want to change.
  3. Highlight the ticket rows, capturing all the tickets to change.
  4. Right-click the Refresh button and choose Generate Book account records
  5. This will change the account records on the selected tickets to the new account you have specified against the product. 
  6. To confirm it has worked, reopen a historic ticket and check option details tab (small tick box above the option grid).
     

Recalculate commission on historic tickets

Follow the steps below if you have changed the commission on a price option or account and want to apply the new rate to existing tickets (note: you can't do this if the ticket status is Settled):  

  1. Open the Find Ticket screen from the Reservations menu.
  2. Adjust the filters to find all the tickets you want to change.
  3. Highlight the ticket rows, capturing all the tickets to change.
  4. Right-click the Refresh button and choose Recalculate from product.
  5. This will update the commission rate against the tickets. You may need to also generate the accounting records as above after this step.
